Walnutport Borough Council approved the following actions last week:
• Will apply for 2022 Community Development Block Grant funding for the Willow Avenue water line replacement/upgrade and street paving. The borough will apply for $250,000.
• Agreed to bid out the South Canal Street stormwater/FEMA grant project, which will replace 200 feet of pipe, head wall and retaining wall at the 200 block of South Canal Street.
• $8,340 to replace the front garage door at 100 Carbon St.
• Street seal coating in the amount of $5,500.
• $2,493 for weed killer in 2022 and 2023.
• Replace Christmas wreaths in the amount of $5,100, plus shipping.
• Sell old Christmas decorations on Municibid.
• A request from Jake Thomson for a driveway opening for an additional 70 feet on his property.
• To advertise an ordinance to proceed to open Spadt Alley from South Lincoln Avenue to the proposed Williams Avenue extension.
• An E-recycling event will be held on May 18.
• The Northern Lehigh Events Committee Parade request for the Halloween parade Oct. 29, with a rain date of Oct. 30. The road is to be closed before 6 p.m., pending the submission of a new letter.
• Waived the garbage service at 645 Lehigh Gap St.
