Franklin to advertise sale of old equipment on Municibid
From old police vehicles to old garbage vehicles and everything in between, Franklin Township has various equipment for sale.
Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously agreed to advertise the equipment for sale on Municibid, with the money received to be allocated to the departments that it came from.
Board Chairman Fred Kemmerer explained that it took time to round up and inventory all the equipment, which has been stored behind the township building.
Kemmerer specifically thanked supervisors Jason Frey and Robin Cressley for their time and efforts to see it through.
The list of items the township plans to advertise on Municibid for sale are as follows:
• 1990 Mack RD690S Maxidyne B-348 with Heil Packer
• 1975 street sweeper Model 1-973
• 2009 Police Interceptor old car 40 Crown Vic.
• 2008 Police Ford Explorer XLT 4x4 old car 43
• 2000 Police Ford Crown Vic. (no rear)
• 1968 Single Axle Dump Truck Diamond Reo
• Four old snow plows (loaded in the back of old macks)
• 1974 Mack single axle dump truck old unit #6
• 1975 Mack single axle dump truck old unit #8
• Heil Packer Off Truck
• 1968 Case Loader W-7 old unit #5 vin. 9802867
• 2004 Sterling Single Axle Dump Truck with J & J Body
• Stack of garage doors (that came from fire company)
• Street sweeper pull behind (has its own motor inside pole building)
• 2 mower attachments (hooks to the back of a tractor inside pole building)
• Sweeper attachment for backhoe (missing parts)
• Backhoe bucket (does not fit township backhoe)
The board also tabled the sale of the following:
• SB1400-SSEC High Speed dumpable salt brine production system.
