A Summit Hill man has been charged after striking his brother in the head with a sledgehammer during a domestic dispute.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Trooper John Heffner of the Pennsylvania State Police - Lehighton barracks in the case against Traven Greenzweig:
At 11:30 p.m. Jan. 28, Heffner responded to a domestic dispute at a home in the 200 block of West White Street in Summit Hill.
The victim said he and his brother Greenzweig, 33, had an argument in the garage of the residence.
He said Greenzweig hit him on the side of the head with a sledgehammer.
The victim had swelling and bleeding at his right ear, and a 1-inch-long cut underneath his chin.
He was then transported to St. Luke’s Miners Campus for further medical treatment.
Greenzweig faces charges of aggravated assault; simple assault; harassment; and disorderly conduct.
He is currently in custody at the Carbon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, and scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek of Lansford.
