State police at Bethlehem reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers.
• On Feb. 16 at 7:53 a.m. troopers were dispatched to West Northampton Street, in Bath. A 53-year-old man from Danielsville said his business partner had allegedly stolen from him during the years of 2009 to 2018. The amount of money claimed to be taken was $98,000. The investigation is continuing.
• On Feb. 21 at 1:32 a.m. troopers responded to the 3500 block of Timber Lane, in Washington Township, Lehigh County, for a domestic disturbance. Kayla Dalla-Palu, 22, of Coplay, and Heather Dawe, 61, of Slatington, were charged with simple assault. Troopers said Dawe also bit a 22-year-old man from Allentown on the nose and kicked a 28-year-old woman from Northampton in the face.
• A 53-year-old Slatington resident reported someone took possibly four checks from his mailbox in Heidelberg Township, Lehigh County, during the period of Jan. 26 and 27. The four checks had a total value of $14,392.15. The checks were then cashed. The investigation is continuing.
• A 58-year-old man from Slatington reported on Feb. 3 at 6:03 p.m. that someone gained possession of a utility check written to him, modified the check from $1,514.34 to $15,142.34. However, the check did not clear when an attempt was made to cash it at a BBT bank in Whitehall Township, Lehigh County.
• On Feb. 11 at 5:41 p.m. a 51-year-old man from Slatington reported an identity theft incident. He told troopers he received a Avant credit card in December 2021, but never applied for a credit card and is now being charged an annual fee. The investigation is continuing.
