State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers.
• On Feb. 27 at 7:07 p.m. troopers responded to a report of an assault at a location along Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East, in Mahoning Township, Carbon County, between two brothers. An investigation revealed that Brian Jerden, 46, of Weissport, punched his brother in the face with a closed fist.
He was cited for harassment - physical contact.
• Troopers said on Feb. 28 at 8:52 p.m. a 33-year-old man from Nesquehoning, who troopers declined to identify, harassed a 31-year-old woman from Nesquehoning, at a location along West Center Street in Nesquehoning, during a domestic dispute. The man was cited for harassment - physical contact.
• On Feb. 28 at 4:50 p.m. a vehicle stop of a 2013 Chrysler Town 7 Country was conducted along Lehigh Drive in Franklin Township, Carbon County, for a traffic violation. During the stop the driver, a 32-year-old man from Philadelphia, who troopers declined to identify, was found impaired and taken into custody for driving under the influence. He was also found in possession of controlled substances. He was taken for testing and later released. Charges are pending test results.
• On March 3 at 12:24 a.m. troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2008 Subaru Legacy at Interchange Road in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation. The driver, a 40-year-old man from Scranton, who troopers declined to identify, was suspected of DUI of a controlled substance. He was also found in possession of controlled substances. Charges are pending test results.
