Police seek ID in Chestnuthill gun shop robbery

Police are seeking the public’s help to find two people who broke into a Chestnuthill store and took 28 handguns.

Just before 1 a.m. Friday two people wearing hooded jackets, face masks and gloves smashed a window on the west side of Sabersouth Firearms, 2164 State Route 209, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

After smashing the window, the two entered the firearm store through the broken window and stole 28 handguns that were on display.

The suspects were in the store for approximately 2 minutes before an audible alarm sounded.

Once the alarm sounded, suspects fled the scene.
