State police at Lehighton reported on arrests made by troopers.

On Monday, May 14, about 5 p.m. troopers were called to Pappy's Store, located at 600 White St., Bowmanstown, for a retail theft incident. On scene troopers said Jason Carl Koons, 29, of Bowmanstown, was taken into custody for the theft. He was taken to the barracks for processing and later to the Lehighton hospital to the mental health unit for evaluation.Charges were filed, troopers added.Also on Monday, about 4:10 p.m., troopers were called to 3559 High Hill Rd., in Polk Township, Monroe County, for a incident. As a result of an investigation Susan Beers, 53, of Blakeslee, was charged with harassment for allegedly pushing Janet Hoffman, 41, of Effort, at the above stated location.
