The Carbon County Commissioners recently approved the following personnel items during their weekly meeting on Thursday.

• Employment separation: Heather L. Lesko of Allentown, county caseworker I, Children and Youth Services, effective Feb. 3.

• Resignations: Thomas A. Layden of Jim Thorpe, seasonal park ranger II, effective Feb. 3; Nicole E. Mikoliw of Drums, caseworker, Pocono Counties Workforce Development Agency, effective Feb. 11; and Lori R. Cooper of Albrightsville, part-time election clerk, effective Feb. 9.

• Hire as recommended by department supervisor: Shane M. Nothstein of Lehighton, maintenance II, buildings and grounds, effective Feb. 14. Commissioners’ Chairman Wayne Nothstein abstained.
