Walnutport Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:
• Agreed to order a replacement snowplow from E.M. Kutz, Inc. in the amount of $18,000.
• Agreed to purchase a new computer for the office and upgrade Wi-Fi at a cost of $2,490.
• Accepted the letter of resignation from officer Kyle Kromer, who left to take a full-time position elsewhere.
• Appointed David Wentling to the borough’s zoning hearing board.
• Appointed Greg Williams to the Walnutport Authority Board.
• Agreed to send delinquent real estate taxes in the amount of $29,283 to Northampton County for collection.
• Agreed to send delinquent per capita tax in the amount of $3,894 to Berkheimer for collection.
• Approved Nancy Treskot as the borough tax collector’s deputy collector.
• Agreed that the borough would not take any responsibility regarding maintenance for storm sewers.
• Agreed to sell an old cutting head for John Deere Boom mower on Municibid.
• Agreed to purchase tar for machine to continue crack sealing.
• Agreed to give the Walnutport Canal Association president a key to borough hall.
• Announced that an E-Recycling event will be held May 18.
