State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks have arrested a Pottsville man for theft, alleging he stole money that was part of a fundraiser at a Schuylkill County fire company.

The incident happened back in November at the Independent Hose Company No. 1, East Norweigan Township.Police arrested Carl W. Martin Jr., 44.Police said he was a member of the hose company when he forced open a locked office door and stole about $650 from a fundraiser that was in a desk drawer.
