A memorial in honor of a late Bowmanstown councilman will eventually take shape.

Borough council on a 6-0 vote Tuesday agreed to give the Bowmanstown Area Residents Connected permission to move forward with the design of memorial planters for former Councilman Burdell Steigerwalt.

Councilwoman Kara Scott told council she heard from Florence Steigerwalt, the widow of Burdell, about having a memorial for him.

However, it has yet to be decided where the memorial planters will be installed.

Burdell passed away unexpectedly in October 2018.
