The Salvation Army Pottsville Corps welcomes Lts. Derek and Betty Ellen Barrett as its new corps officers as of Feb. 2. They will take over for Pottsville Corps officers Lts. Holly and Gavin Yeatts.

“We are thrilled by the opportunity to serve with The Salvation Army in Pottsville,” said Lt. Betty Ellen Barrett, incoming Corps Officer. “We are eagerly looking forward to beginning our next assignment with a community of caring and generous people. Together, we will continue the efforts of Envoys Brad and Gina Harris to uplift disadvantaged individuals and families in Pottsville.”

Lts. Derek and Betty Ellen Barrett previously served as the officers of The Salvation Army Roxborough Corps from August 2019 to January 2022.
