Palmerton Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• On a 5-0 vote, with an abstention from Councilwoman Holly Hausman-Sell, approved the volunteer tax credit eligibility list and appointed Councilman Kris Hoffner to the Pennsylvania Municipal Fire Department Support Team board of directors.

• On a 5-0 vote, with an abstention from council President Terry Costenbader, approved the Rolling Cruise traffic control request.

• Appointed Berkheimer & Associates as tax collector for the balance of 2021 per capita taxes. The amount is $6,200 in delinquent taxes, and $620 in penalties, for a total of $6,820.

• Approved the 2021 per capita tax exoneration list in the amount of $315.

• Renewed the sludge removal agreement with Waste Management, at a rate of $103.11 per ton, a 5% increase.

• Approved a resolution for the Carbon County Hazard Mitigation Plan.

• Renewed the Palmerton Memorial Park Association lease.

• Renewed the snow plow cooperation agreement with Lower Towamensing Township.
