Blue Mountain Resort fully opens for season Saturday

The moment ski enthusiasts have been waiting for has finally arrived.

Blue Mountain Resort will fully open for the season at 8 a.m. Saturday.

All 40 ski trails, 46 snow tubing lanes and all five terrain parks will be available.

That includes Dreamweaver Park - a top-to-bottom terrain park trail with 23 features making it the largest park in the Pocono Mountains, featuring a combo of jumps, rails and boxes.

Ashley Seier, marketing manager, said Blue Mountain is excited to fully open on Saturday.

“Due to the unseasonal temperatures and weather, we experienced in the beginning of the season, this opening is a little later than usual,” Seier said. “Thanks to our excellent snow making system and snowmakers who have been working around the clock, we are able to pull off a full opening with still plenty of winter left for our guests to come and enjoy the mountain.”

Blue Mountain has some of the longest trails in the state including 14 beginner, six intermediate, 11 expert, four expert only and five terrain parks.

Fully lit night skiing trails are open until 9 p.m., and skiing hours on weekdays start at 9 a.m. and at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sunday and specified winter holidays.
