State police at Schuylkill Haven
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following incidents in Schuylkill County:
• On Jan. 2 at 12:01 a.m. troopers responded to a disturbance along Molleystown Road in Tremont Township. It was reported that a man was operating a gray Dodge Dakota truck and had discharged a firearm in the vicinity of an Exxon service station and then fled the scene driving erratically and doing “donuts” in the roadway.
A vehicle fitting the description of the Dodge truck was observed in Tremont driving quickly and doing donuts. A vehicle stop was conducted and the driver identified as Jeremy Walters, 37, of Pine Grove. An investigation revealed that Walters did not discharge a firearm and the sounds heard by individuals at the original scene were from a separate vehicle with an exhaust that backfired.
Walters was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Troopers said on Dec. 31 at 4:57 p.m. along Long Run Road in Wayne Township, Matthew Miller, 33, of Pine Grove, forced his ex-girlfriend, a 34-year-old woman from Williamstown, into a truck and assaulted her for an extended period of time. During the course of the incident Miller threw her belongings out of the vehicle and threatened to kill her.
The woman was able to get out of the vehicle at a restaurant where bystanders called 911. Miller then fled the scene.
An arrest warrant had been issued for Miller and his whereabouts are unknown at this time.
• Troopers said on Jan. 4 at 9 a.m. the owners of Somewhere in Time Sports Collectibles, located at 1544 Route 61, in North Manheim Township, reported about $5,000 worth of football cards were stolen. The cards were located in a Panni “impeccable” case of football cards. The theft occurred sometime between Jan. 3 at 11 p.m. and Jan. 4 at 9 a.m.
• Police said Harry Davis, 45, of Auburn, was found in possession of marijuana while a patient at Geisinger-St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg. The incident occurred on Jan. 8 at 3:41 p.m.
