State police at Hazleton — thefts

State police at the Hazleton barracks are investigating the following thefts:

• A catalytic converter was taken from a vehicle in Hazle Township between noon Dec. 12 and 2 p.m. Dec. 24 at 5060 Old Airport Road.

A 30-year-old man from Hazle Township told police someone removed the converter from his 2009 Ford F250. It is valued at $600.

• Ashley Paulshock, 36, of Beaver Meadows, is facing shoplifting charges after she was caught stealing at the Boscov’s store in the Laurel Mall, Hazleton.

Police said at 8:06 p.m. Dec. 22 she was caught stealing items valued at $229.42.
