Fair skies shined upon the six division Carbon County Veterans Day Parade in Jim Thorpe on Sunday.

The parade began at the Jim Thorpe Area High School and proceeded down through the East side of town ending at Second and Center Streets.After the parade disbanded at that point, participants were bussed back to Memorial Hall for refreshments.The parade was well represented by Veteran's groups, bands, and Auxiliary groups from throughout the Carbon County Area.The parade coordinator was Henry Desrosiers, Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs for Carbon County.Desrosiers noted that he and everyone involved were pleased with the beautiful weather and great turnout in Jim Thorpe.The event honored all those who have served and are currently serving in the Armed Forces of the United States.
