Masses
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at SS. Peter and Paul Parish by Father Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr., on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. Daily Masses are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 8 a.m. Father Zelonis offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) 45 minutes before Masses on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Painting
The interior of the church will be painted starting Jan. 10, for approximately six weeks; during that time Masses and all other parish events will take place in the school hall. Mask wearing is strongly encouraged because of the spatial restrictions.
Listening session
On Jan. 16 after the 10 a.m. Mass, the parish is hosting a listening session for the diocesan participation in the worldwide Synod of Bishops. At this and other sessions across the diocese, people can share their experience of the church - positive or negative - and how we may journey together as Jesus intended. In advance of the session, or if unable to attend, people may complete an online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AllentownSynod.
Alternately, they may print out and send a PDF copy of the survey, available at: https://www.allentowndiocese.org/sites/default/files/2021-12/Synod%20Survey%20ENG.pdf or in Spanish at https://www.allentowndiocese.org/sites/default/files/2021-12/Synod%20Survey%20SP.pdf.
Bingo
Super Bowl LVI Bingo takes place on Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. in the parish hall (snow date Feb 20). Doors open 11:45 a.m. Bingo starts 1 p.m. Food and refreshments available.
