State Rep. Doyle Heffley's district offices will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day.

The office will also be closed on Thursday because staff will be participating in Heffley's annual Senior Expo, which is co-hosted by Sen. John Yudichak, D-Carbon/Luzerne.The Senior Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at Jim Thorpe Memorial Hall and will feature more than 50 vendors who will provide information about their programs and services. A prescription drug drop-off box will also be available to dispose of unwanted or expired medications. A free lunch will be served.The legislators are collecting nonperishable food items for local food banks and ask everyone who attends to consider a donation.
