A Schuylkill County man is facing a charge of public drunkenness for an incident that occurred about 1 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said they received a complaint from the wife of Kenneth Benjamin, 28, of Pottsville, that her husband was intoxicated and attempting to walk home from a block party in Minersville.She said she lost contact with him and feared he may be in danger. Troopers said they found Benjamin passed out lying on a railroad bed near Maple Aver., in Norwegian Township. He was cited and released.
