State police at Lehighton will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint this coming weekend on various roads in Carbon and Monroe counties.

The checkpoint is an effort to reduce the number of crashes, fatalities, and injuries on state roadways. Roving DUI patrols will also be conducted.The operation will take placed at an unspecified time frame between Friday and Sunday.
