Eight Oaks donates sanitizer to schools

Eight Oaks Farm Distillery donated its Eight Oaks’ sanitizer to help area schools and students.

CEO Chad Butters, with the help of Director of Distillery Operations and Head Distiller, Caitlin Fenstermacher, and Assistant Distiller Joey Haas, made the trip to over a dozen schools in the Allentown School Districts to donate hand sanitizer. A donation was also made to the Northwestern School District.

In total, Eight Oaks donated 980 cases of hand sanitizer, the equivalent of over $58,000, to schools in those districts.

According to Butters, “At the heart of everything we do is our commitment to help make our community a better place, and getting sanitizer to schools, with staff on the front lines every day, is one way we can help our community.”

On March 13, 2020, Eight Oaks shut down its distillery operations through June 2020 to focus exclusively on the production of hand sanitizer. By the end of 2020, Eight Oaks donated over 6,250 gallons of sanitizer to front-line workers, essential businesses, and nonprofits in the Lehigh Valley and the country.
