Eligible businesses can apply for grant funds
The Schuylkill County Commissioners and Northeast Pa. Alliance have partnered to deliver the Community Development Block Grant Cares Act funds for eligible businesses in Schuylkill County.
Schuylkill County received an allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds related to the CARES Act for addressing the COVID pandemic. CDBG-CV must be used to prevent, prepare for and respond to coronavirus. The program allows for loan-to-grant awards up to $15,000.
Schuylkill County Commissioners’ Chairman Barron L. “Boots” Hetherington said, “The Schuylkill County Commissioners in conjunction with our partners at NEPA Alliance are pleased to announce that we have been able to award 22 CDBG-CV loans/grants across the county totaling $253,550. NEPA Alliance is still working on additional applications and there is still no deadline for applications.”
