State police at Lehighton are investigating a theft by deception incident involving a credit/debit card.

A 43-year-old Palmerton man reported his credit/debit card was used to purchase diesel fuel at a service station in the Lehigh Valley on Dec. 13 without his knowledge.

Troopers said the victim’s card information was potentially skimmed at an area service station in Carbon County.
