Weatherly Borough council honors Farrow at end of his service

Weatherly Borough’s council and mayor, at their meeting on Dec. 20, honored council member Harold Farrow who did not run for reelection. Mayor P.J. Hadzick praised Farrow for his work for the borough over his 29 years on council.

Plans are to add a bronze plaque with Farrow’s name and 29 years of service to the wall where other longtime council members have been honored.

Council made quick work of other business, approving the 2022 tax ordinance featuring no tax increase for this coming year, on a budget totaling $5,870,281.

Borough Manager Harold Pudliner was approved to post surplus items for sale.

The proposed new cell tower for the Weatherly area, originally proposed for a site at Eurana Park, was approved to be on the borough’s Well #2 property. It is to stand 350 feet.

Council wrapped things up with a resolution about pensions for police and nonuniform retirees, again providing benefits without the need of contributions from members.
