Tamaqua Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning.

Police were dispatched to West Broad Street at 1:37 a.m. when it was reported that a male was shot twice.

Officers found the victim on scene who had non-life threatening injuries. The victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospital for treatment.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, but it’s believed to be an isolated incident.
