A Lehigh County resident pleaded guilty in Carbon County court on Tuesday, admitting he made unlawful contact with a teenage girl.
Stephen Jay Dilcher, 38, of Slatington pleaded to one count of unlawful contact with a minor of a sexual nature, a felony three.He was charged by Nesquehoning police with contacting a 15-year-old female resident by computer. Police said during the conversation Dilcher had with the teen on the computer he asked the girl to send him nude photos of herself and also about having sex with him.Judge Joseph J. Matika, who accepted the plea, said the charge falls under the provisions of Megan's Law, meaning Dilcher will be evaluated by the state sexual assessment board to determine if he is a violent sexual predator.If it is determined he is, then he must register for the rest of his life as a sexual offender.If not, the registration period for the charge is 25 years. Matika also ordered the adult probation office to prepare a presentence investigation report.
Dilcher
