It will be an easier walk on Cedar Street in Tamaqua.

The 89-foot sidewalk on County Bridge 134 on Cedar Street is being replaced. Schuylkill County Commissioners approved using $21,100 from liquid fuels for the work. Work started Wednesday.

County Engineer Lisa Mahall said the bridge dates to 1937. When examined in 2008, the sidewalk was OK but now needs fixed.
