State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of catalytic converters from two vehicles at separate locations in Schuylkill County.
On Nov. 20, at 9:29 a.m. troopers were dispatched to the U-Haul Moving and Storage facility located off Route 61 in North Manheim Township. It was discovered a converter was removed from a company Ford vehicle parked at that location. The theft occurred sometime between Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. and Nov. 20 at the time troopers were called.
On Nov. 10 troopers were alerted to the theft of a converter from a Ford vehicle parked off Route 61 in North Manheim Township. The theft occurred between 4 and 11:34 a.m. on Nov. 10.
A large amount of cash and other items were reportedly taken in a Schuylkill County incident.
On Oct. 29 state police at Schuylkill Haven were dispatched to a report of a theft at a Donna Circle site in North Manheim Township. About $10,000 in items and cash were stolen from a residence owned by a 61-year-old woman from Pottsville. Among the items taken were silver coins valued at $1,800, cash totaling $8,000 and a fire box valued at $200. The investigation is continuing.
