State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a vandalism incident in Penn Forest Township.

Troopers said on Nov. 15 at 12:42 p.m. they responded to the Valley View Estates community in Penn Forest Township, for a report of damage to a shed which houses the mailbox cluster for the community.

An investigation revealed that sometime between Nov. 12 and 15, someone damaged the door of the mail shed. It was apparent that the person responsible had forced the door inward, damaging the door frame. The U.S. Postal Inspector’s Office was notified. No items have been reported stolen. Damages to the door were estimated at $500.
