Boyle named to Centennial All-Conference Team

The Moravian University football squad recently had three student-athletes named to the 2021 Centennial All-Conference Teams.

Sophomore running back Nate Boyle was selected to the Second Team.

The former Tamaqua standout earned his first postseason award after his first season on the field.

He led the Greyhounds rushing attack this fall with 605 yards and three touchdowns on 130 attempts. Boyle also caught 10 passes for 56 yards.

“Nate is well deserving of his Second Team All-Conference recognition. He showed steady progress as the year went on and that was a direct correlation to his on the field productivity,” stated Head Football Coach Jeff Pukszyn. “I’m excited to watch Nate continue to grow in the program.”

Boyle rushed for over 100 yards in a game twice this season, going for 114 Oct. 16 against Dickinson College and recording a season-high 143 yards on 26 carries Nov. 6 against Franklin & Marshall College.

His single game season high in receiving came against Dickinson, with five grabs for 44 yards.

Coach Pukszyn guided the Greyhounds to a 3-7 mark in 2021, and graduates 31 of the 84 players on the roster heading into the 2022 campaign.
