2021 general election: Carbon County will break ties in election on Friday
There were 29 election balloting positions in Carbon County that resulted in ties due to the write-in voting process.
The elected positions will be determined at 9 a.m. Friday when the county’s elections board meets to break the ties.
The ties are as follows:
Banks Township: inspector of elections, four-year term, Francis Samec, Dave Mazur, Richard F. McGettigan, Anna Marie Kelly and David Bodnar, 1 vote each.
East Penn Township: auditor, six-year term, Jeffrey Young, Rich Diehl, Wendy Kunkel and Jessica M. Engler, 1 vote each; and auditor, two-year term, Young, Diehl, Sydney Wernett and Luke P. Engler, 1 vote each.
East Side Borough: mayor, four-year term, Eric Siglin and Gerald D. Jones Sr., 7 votes each; and judge of elections, four-year term, Russell Husaton and Shawn Fisher, 1 vote each.
Franklin Township: judge of elections, District 11, four-year term, Anthony Frantz, David Bradley and Zachary Kudla, 1 vote each; inspector of elections, District 11, four-year term, Rod Mann, Donald Dorward, Dennis Bauchspies and Zachary Kudla, 1 vote each; and inspector of elections, District 13, four-year term, Aldo Boni, Stacy Sheckler, Jim Bestider, George Sauls and Denise Mertz, 1 vote each.
Lansford Borough: constable, six-year term, Jack Soberick, Ed Evans and Wesley McCloskey, 4 votes each; inspector of elections, District 23, four-year term, Donna Valent, Stephanie A. Wagner, Patrice Murphy, Daniel Wynn, Steven Foster and Carl Vasiliou, 1 vote each; inspector of elections, District 24, four-year term, Daniel J. Wynn, Ed Evans and Christine Priggins, 1 vote each; and inspector of elections, District 25, four-year term, Jesse Durning and Melissa McCloskey, 2 votes.
Lehighton Borough: judge of elections, District 30, four-year term, Sharon Wentz and Jeremy Galush, 1 vote each.
Lower Towamensing Township: auditor, six-year term, Deborah Imbriaco, Ken Sutton, Timothy J. Duncan and Carl Silverstein, 2 votes each; auditor, two-year term, Maxine Scherer, Casi Papay, Deborah Imbriaco and Timothy J. Duncan, 2 votes each; inspector of elections, District 32, four-year term, Joe Germy, Kenneth P. Kaiser, Albert Nelthropp, Fay Wentz and Donald Griffith, 1 vote teach; and inspector of elections, District, four-year term, Connie D. Brown and Gerald Madden, 1 vote each.
Mahoning Township: auditor, six-year term, Wally Putkowski, Patrick Gallagher, Sean Gavin and Corey Kershner, Sydney Wernett and Keith Muffley, 1 vote each.
Packer Township: auditor, six-year term, Craig Reiner and Donny Yanac Jr., 1 vote each.
Palmerton Borough: inspector of elections, District 47, four-year term, Samuel Claypoole and Jason Gray, 1 vote each.
Penn Forest Township: inspector of elections, District 51-03, Denise Martindell and Francis A. Peirce, 2 votes each; judge of elections, District 51-05, Yvette I. Barnes, Jamie Kresge, John Hoke, Julian Valentini, Donna Briglio, Pat Gregoire, Jacob Ganz and Neill Kennedy, 1 vote each; and inspector of elections, District 51-05, four-year term, Yvette I. Summit Hill Borough: judge of elections, District 54, four-year term, Chris Laughlin and William Derr, 1 vote each; and inspector of elections, District 54, four-year term, Chris Laughlin, William Derr and Brenda Chasarik, 1 vote each.
Towamensing Township: judge of elections, District 57-1, four-year term, Michael S. George and Brenda Rankel, 2 votes each; inspector of elections, District 57-1, four-year term, Elizabeth Campbell and Michael S. George, 2 votes each.
