The Dolon-Jones-Martino American Legion of Jim Thorpe conducted its annual Past Commanders’ and Past Presidents’ dinner-dance at the St. Joseph’s Club on Saturday night. Highlighting the interesting and inspiring program was the recognition accorded Leonard F. Marzen of West 10th Street as the Legion’s Man of the Year and Mrs. Agnes McArdle, 533 North St. as its Citizen of the Year.

Both were lauded for exemplary community service in keeping with the Legion’s God and Country theme.

Matthew King, Post 304 commander, made the presentation to Marzen while Mrs. McArdle was introduced by Emerson Fagely, first vice commander.
