Police report on area crashes

State police report on the following crashes:

• State police at Fogelsville said Richard P. Zellers, 50, of New Ringgold, was driving a 2017 Ford F150 truck southbound on Route 100 in Lowhill Township, at 7:27 a.m. on Oct. 18, when a deer entered the road. Zellers was not hurt. The truck was towed.

• A 16-year-old Slatington female escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 8:45 p.m. Oct. 15 on Orchard Road in North Whitehall Township.

State police at Bethlehem said she was going too fast in a 2014 Honda Civic when it veered off the right side of the road and struck a road sign. The car returned to the road, crossed both lanes of travel, left the road on the left side and hit a light post. The car continued for another 20 feet before coming to rest. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Police said the driver received a warning.

• State police at Hazleton said a crash occurred at 6:12 p.m. on Nov. 3 on Route 93, at the intersection with East Arthur Gardner Parkway, in Hazle Township.

Brandon R. Ernst, 28, of Weatherly, driving a 2015 Mazda 3, was northbound while Nathaniel E. Carrion, 25, also of Weatherly, driving a 2014 Toyota Camry, was southbound. Ernst attempted to make a left turn at a green light and failed to yield to Carrion.

No one was injured. Both vehicles were towed.

Ernst was cited for a traffic light violation.
