Firefighters from Summit Hill, Lansford and the Bureau of Forestry responded to a brush fire Sunday afternoon in Summit Hill. The fire was reported just after noon to the north of the 500 block of West White Bear Drive. Fire crews realized they had no access to the remote scene, changing their access point to a trail off West Ludlow street. The scene was a very remote area on Mt. Pisgah accessible only by all-terrain vehicles. Fire crews utilized rakes and portable water tanks to fight the fire. COPYRIGHT LARRY NEFF/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
