The Carbon County Salary Board approved the following items during Thursday’s monthly meeting:
• District Judge Palmerton: Establish the position of one office supervisor I trainee at $16.96 per hour, effective Nov. 4; establish the position of one secretary II trainee at $14.55 per hour, effective Nov. 4; and change the rate of one secretary I from $13.45 per hour to $11.95 per hour, effective Nov. 8. Commissioners’ Chairman Wayne Nothstein abstained from the office supervisor I trainee vote due to the hiree being a relative.
• Clerk of courts: Change the rate of one bench warrant clerk from $12.43 per hour to $11.38 per hour, effective Nov. 4.
• Corrections: Change the rate of one warden from $30.20 per hour to $35 per hour, effective Nov. 4; establish the position of one acting sergeant at $22.88 per hour, effective Nov. 4.
• Children and Youth Services: Establish the position of one county caseworker I at $16.02 per hour, effective Nov. 6; abolish the position of one county caseworker II at $18.93 per hour, effective Nov. 6.
• Tax assessment: Change the rate of one assistant chief assessor from $17.17 per hour to $17.69 per hour, effective Nov. 10.
The meeting was then recessed until Nov. 18.
