Parryville may still purchase a new dump trunk, but not until next year at earliest.

Borough council decided at Monday’s budget meeting to hold off on the purchase of a new truck, according to council President Cathy Hawk.

It was stated at last week’s council meeting that the borough’s current dump truck is old, and the salt has degraded the machine.

Since it’s parked in the salt shed, Councilman Jason Smith said at last week’s meeting he was concerned they will “run into the same issue if we continue to park it in the same spot.”
