A 27-year-old Pottsville man is the victim of homicide after being found in a wooded area in Cass Township Thursday.

State police at Frackville identified the man as Joseph Michael Fedornak. Police were contacted by the Schuylkill County Communications Center at 6 p.m. for a disturbance at 22 Ash Road. Reports indicate an argument heard in the vicinity and a gunshot. State police and Minersville Police responded and found the victim dead. Fedornak is suspected of having been in a physical altercation with someone, police said. The investigation continues.
