Robert Bruzgo of the Summit Hill Marble and Granite Co. has advised the mausoleum committee of Jim Thorpe that the massive marble creation to entomb the famed Indian athlete for whom the community has been renamed will be shipped from Cold Spring, Minn., between April 22 and 29.
Workers will begin to install the foundation for the mausoleum in Evergreen Cemetery next week. Clearing of the land on the 75-acre site has been delayed by inclement weather.
