Fern Ridge state police report on damaged car, fraud

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following incidents being investigated by troopers:

• On Sept. 28 at 12:36 p.m. troopers received a complaint from an 81-year-old woman from Lehighton concerning a 2005 Ford vehicle. She reported the vehicle was parked at Used Kids Stuff, located at 2143 Route 115, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, when someone entered it and damaged the ignition. She said the incident occurred sometime between Sept. 27 at 6:03 p.m. and 9 a.m. the next day.

• On Sept. 26 at 4:04 p.m. troopers responded to Firehouse Road in Chestnuthill Township, for a report of a all terrain vehicle found abandoned in a nearby wooded area.

The ATV is a Yamaha model.

• Troopers are investigating an incident of fraud. On Sept. 20 at 3:35 p.m. troopers responded to Dunkelberger’s Sports Outfitters, located along Route 209 in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township. It was learned that someone purchased $3,973.26 worth of merchandise with an unauthorized credit card. Another listed victim is Advanced Concrete, of Lafayette Hill, Montgomery County.
