State police seek car that struck school van

The Pennsylvania State Police Belfast station is seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a vehicle that struck a Bangor Area School District van and fled the scene without stopping.

It happened on Tuesday at 8:48 a.m. The SUV struck the van in the driver’s side door while negotiating a curve in the roadway in the area of 870 Orchard Road, Upper Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County. After making contact with the van, the striking vehicle fled south on Orchard Road.

The van is described as a blue/gray-colored Honda CRV. Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to contact Trooper Richard Matlock of Belfast station at 610-759-6106 and reference Incident Number PA21-1401757.
