The Summit Hill Historical Society will be holding its grand reopening of its museum at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. The society is located in the Heritage Center at 1 W. Hazard St. in Summit Hill.
Lou Vermillion, a member of the society, said the museum had been closed because of the pandemic.
The historical society moved to the Heritage Center just before the pandemic from its previous location on West Ludlow Street, where it had existed for many years.
As part of the reopening, there will be entertainment by Jay Smar at 7 p.m. The historical society museum contains a large assortment of relics pertaining to the history of the borough, including mining memorabilia, newspapers and books, some of which are available for purchase.
