A Nov. 15 trial date has been set in York County for the man accused of killing Kyle Hagenbuch, 26, of Lehighton.
The trial for Dasean Damont Morris, 20, is set to last four days before any available judge. Common Pleas Judge Harry Ness set the date. Sandra Thompson is listed as his attorney. The prosecuting attorney is First Deputy Kara Bowser.
Morris is charged with first and third-degree murder in Hagenbuch’s death July 3, 2020, in York City. He was shot outside in the area of 900 E. Clarke Ave. He died Aug. 2 at WellSpan York Hospital. His death was ruled a homicide. The DA’s office is not seeking the death penalty.
Morris also faces charges of carrying a firearm without a license and marijuana possession. He was arrested Aug. 18, 2020, after a traffic stop on an unrelated matter.
A preliminary hearing was held that September.
