Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue didn’t win the FreshPet Fresh Start Giveaway contest.

Results were announced earlier this week on the company website.

The Schuylkill County organization was nominated by a Franklin Township, Carbon County woman.

Diane Buhl, president of the rescue, thanked her supporters for voting. She did not have an exact vote tally available. One was also not on the website.

The contest ran Sept. 22-28. The rescue with the most votes in each of the five regions, West, Southwest, Midwest, Southeast and Northeast won $12,000. Two runners-up in each region won $3,000. As a plus, another shelter in each region also won $3,000.
