A man was injured early this morning when he was involved in a crash in West Penn Township. The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. as the man was traveling east on Route 443, about a half mile east of Cold Spring Road. He apparently lost control, crossing over the westbound lanes before entering the berm, snapping off a utility pole. The vehicle came to rest down an embankment. The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Mahoning Valley ambulance. West Penn Township police are investigating the incident. Route 443 was closed to traffic.
