Carbon County is in need of nearly two dozen people to work the upcoming election.
On Thursday, Commissioners’ Chairman Wayne Nothstein announced that there were five openings in various precincts for judges of election. Precincts include Bowmanstown, East Side Borough, Summit Hill Third and Fourth wards and Weissport.
The county also needs additional poll workers for the November election at various polling districts.
Nothstein said the county is looking for about a dozen poll workers.
“I know what happened at previous elections, where there are last minute issues, someone takes ill or they decide they don’t want to do it,” he said.
