State police at the Fern Ridge barracks were summoned to a one-vehicle crash at 11:25 p.m. Sept. 1 on Sugar Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Police found a passenger, 40-year-old woman from Stroudsburg, dead in the front seat of the vehicle.

Police also said the driver of the vehicle, a 29-year-old man from Stroudsburg, was discovered to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
