The Jim Thorpe Democratic Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mason, 1204 Centre St. President Edith Lukasevich will preside.Reunion closuremeetingThe Jim Thorpe High School Class of 1964 reunion committee will hold the closure meeting for the reunion at 3 p.m. Thursday, at the home of Darlene Benyo, 116 South St.Fall dinnerSt. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold a special Saturday evening service beginning at 5 p.m. on Nov. 15. Guest musicians will be the Perseverance Jazz Band. Following the service, there will be a pork and sauerkraut dinner served. More information about reservations for the dinner will be released closer to the date.Class of 1964The next gathering of the members of the 1964 class of Jim Thorpe High School will be on Wednesday. The group will meet at Antonio's Pizza on Broadway for dinner at 5:30 p.m. Following the dinner, the group will enjoy the Ghost Walk in Jim Thorpe. Those not having dinner with the group should meet at 6:45 p.m. as the walk will begin at 7. There will be a fee to take the Ghost Walk.BloodmobileA bloodmobile will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Fairview Hose Company.Bible studyThe women's ecumenical Bible study will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Good Shepherd Room of St. John's Lutheran Church, South Avenue. Joan DeAcetis will be in charge and the women are studying the book of Daniel. All women of the community are invited to join these gatherings that are held the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
