Clerk of Courts Report
Clerk of Courts Tyra L. Boni released the statistical report of activities for her offices for the month of July 2021.
There were 174 new cases opened in July with the following breakdown: criminal, 136; miscellaneous, 10; summary appeals, 12. There were 7,387 docket entries.
We processed bail for 98 defendants, which included 11 cash bail payments totaling $16,550.
There were 233 plea and sentencing court hearings scheduled in July with the following breakdown, 86 guilty pleas were entered, 27 defendants entered into ARD and the remaining 120 were either sentenced or entered a continuance in their case.
Cost sheets processed 129; judgments files 96; delinquency notifications (SMS, 147/U.S. mail, 554).
Monthly finances included total payments collected $131,163.80, bail refunds totaling $732.50, restitution payments totaling $11,378.10 and total disbursements of $119,785.70, which included payments to victims and taxpayers, $4,637.34 to boroughs and municipalities, $39,452.58 Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, $2,158.38 to the Prothonotary for payment of judgments, $73,537.40 to the Carbon County General Fund which includes fees paid for adult probation monitoring, adult probation offender supervision fee, clerk of courts automation fee, community service fees, juvenile offender supervision fee, substance abuse education fee, county victim service fee, veteran’s treatment court fee, centralized booking fee (centralized/ livescan), and county restitution.
