Local roundup: Results from Sept. 10

The Weatherly and Pleasant Valley volleyball teams, along with Marian boys soccer, all suffered losses on Friday.

VOLLEYBALL

EECA-Weatherly

Executive Education Charter Academy swept Weatherly 25-13, 25-19, 25-21 in a non-league match.

Huntyr Eichhorst had seven digs and five assists for the Wreckers, with Marissa Hoffman recording six digs and two kills. Gianna Lowman added five digs, one assist, one kill and one ace, while Becca Schell contributed three kills, one dig and one block.

Pleasant Valley-PM East

Pocono Mountain East picked up a 25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference win over Pleasant Valley.

Nora Jones had 10 digs, four kills and two service points (two aces) for the Bears (1-1). Jackie James added seven digs, seven service points and five kills, while Hannah Akob registered six kills, seven service points (two aces) and Sarah Ballek tallied three kills and six service points (three aces).

BOYS SOCCER

LLA.-Marian

Lincoln Leadership Academy cruised to an 8-1 win over Marian.

The Lions scored four goals in the first half on solo runs by Thequoan Sebro. The Lions went on to add four more goal on the second half with two more goals by Sebro and two goals by Miguel Almazan.

The Colts did manage to score the first goal in their new program’s history when sophomore Josh Fallabel found the back of the net.
